It is one of the most frequently used raw materials in technical ceramics. Zirconium oxide is used in numerous industries - for example in ceramic production, medical technology, sensor technology and fuel cell technology. A typical application is the production of high-performance ceramics for machine components, seals, knives or dental blanks.

Material properties:
Zirconium oxide is a white to gray-white powder that is available in various purities and grain sizes. It is characterized by very low thermal conductivity, high hardness and chemical resistance to acids and alkalis. For special applications, zirconium oxide can be stabilized with yttrium (Y-TZP), which creates additional fracture toughness.
