Erbium Oxide, or erbium(III) oxide, is an inorganic compound of the chemical elements erbium and oxygen and was partially isolated (as a mixture of several lanthanide oxides) by Carl Gustaf Mosander in 1843 and first produced in pure form by Georges Urbain and Charles James in 1905.
It is formed by the combustion of erbium and is notable for its pink colour in powder form.
